KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 25, 2019 – On the heels of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announcing five new value-based payment model options, Caravan Health will hold a webinar on Tuesday, April 30, at 10 AM PT/ 1PM ET to discuss the latest CMS policy news.

Join Caravan’s President and former CMS Director of Delivery System Reform Tim Gronniger, with policy experts Louise Yinug and LeeAnn Hastings, as they review these models that set out to transform the delivery of health care. This interactive event, “CMS Payment Reform News: What’s the Latest and What’s Next?” will cover these new initiatives and explain how they could affect providers and patients in your community.

These new model options support the shift toward value-based payment across our health care system. It has only been a few short months since CMS released its final rule on the Shared Savings Program which rolled out a faster path to risk for Shared Savings Program ACOs. These new model options continue that trend by creating incentives for providers to move toward fee-for-value. This webinar will cover the five model options under Primary Care First and Direct Contracting, as well as other recent announcements about Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D and more.

“We are looking forward to talking through these highly anticipated new models from the Innovation Center at CMS,” said Caravan Health President Tim Gronniger. “It’s clear that CMS is committed to a faster adoption of risk and wants to encourage participation from even more providers throughout the country. While there are still lots of unanswered questions about how these models will interact with other programs as well as the significant requirements of these new models, CMS has given providers a lot to think about as they plan their work for 2020 and beyond.”
