Caravan Health recently announced the addition 103 community hospitals to its 15 new partner ACOs. Amongst the new cohort is Avera McKennen Hospital & University Health Center, the flagship of Avera Health System.

Avera is no stranger to Caravan – the health system has been a Caravan ACO partner since 2016. Avera’s two participating ACOs found early success under the Caravan model with both achieving savings since their start.

We had a chance to sit down with ACO Champion, Teri Bergeleen, to discuss her experience with the Caravan team, and hear why Avera chose to partner with us again on their newest and largest ACO.
