Mike Van Snellenberg joined Caravan in 2020 with the acquisition of Wellpepper, where he was co-founder and CTO. As Senior Vice President of Engineering at Caravan Health, he oversees activities within product engineering and technical strategy, including overall systems architecture, patient engagement, population health tools, data strategy, and security. In this role, Mike ensures the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the company. 
Mike is a 20-year software veteran. Prior to co-founding Wellpepper, he spent 12 years at Microsoft where he oversaw engineering teams driving search and recommendation technologies in Bing, and large-scale server virtualization and telemetry in Windows Server. He is named on several patents.
Mike has presented at national health care and technology-focused conferences including HIMSS. He has also presented to regional audiences on the topics of emerging technology in medicine, patient-generated data and patient-reported outcomes at the University of Washington and Stanford Medicine.
