Lisa Kilawee serves as Vice President, Alliance Partnerships – Business Development for Caravan Health. Kilawee has over twenty years experience in health care with a focus on rural health policy and rural health delivery models. Kilawee was the 2016 National Rural Health Association President. She is a South Dakota native, and has an undergraduate degree and Masters in Public Administration from the University of South Dakota. Prior to joining Caravan Health, Kilawee worked in provider recruitment for Ministry Health in central WI. From 2002- 2014, Kilawee served as the Director of Rural Health Services, at Avera Health, a regional health system based in South Dakota. While at Avera, Kilawee led the development of regional health care delivery and innovation activities and initiatives. Kilawee also worked for the Community HealthCare Association of the Dakotas (SD/ND Primary Care Association), and the South Dakota State Office of Rural Health. Kilawee serves on the Community Advisory Committee for Admissions for the Medical College of WI for the Wausau Regional Campus, and is an Ambassador for the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute.
