George Scarborough is the Vice President of State Partnerships with Caravan Health. In this role, he works with state hospital associations and their member hospitals, health systems and medical practices to develop large, state wide Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) with shared risk models for CMS Reimbursement to help them improve Quality, Patient Experience and Operational Efficiency, in an effort to rein in costs and positively impact Medicare reimbursement.
Over the past 12 years George has become a Trusted Advisor for hundreds of hospitals, health systems and medical practice senior executives in his prior work at Studer Group, TruthPoint, and now with Caravan Health. He has become an expert at diagnosing and treating performance improvement and productivity issues to help organizations across the healthcare continuum quickly improve leader and physician engagement & productivity, patient experience (CAHPS), along with many other key performance indicators. George was honored to receive four of Studer Group’s coveted Pillar Awards during his nine years at Studer Group.
Prior to his work in healthcare, George spent over 25 years as owner and CEO of marketing and political consulting firms in Pensacola, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia. George graduated from the University of Alabama in 1982 with a degree in business management, with a primary focus on finance. He resides in Alpharetta, Georgia with his wife of 35 years, Sara, and has two adult children and two grandchildren.
