Fred Wallisch, MD

Fred is a Family Practice trained physician with a passion for making health care better for the patients we get to serve.

He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Mo and went on to the University of Kansas for medical school.  Residency in Indiana lead to him opening his own practice near his hometown of St. Louis.  After 6 years of practice, he became a full time faculty member at a residency program in Evansville, Indiana.  From there he moved back to full-time employed practice for 6 years before moving into medical administration in 2013 as serving as Medical Director of a large multispecialty group.  When the health system moved into full risk Medicare ACO work, he became the Executive director and Medical Director of a very successful Next Generation ACO.

From that role, he moved to a Medical Director role with Evolent Health, covering multiple Accountable Care Organizations with a total combined shared savings of over $75M.  After a brief role on the Payer side, he is happy to join the Caravan Health team and looks forward to the collaboration.

Fred currently lives outside of Fort Myers, Florida with his wife of 30 years.  He has 4 children (one in college and the others all gainfully employed!).  In his spare time he enjoys tennis, cycling, exercise, cooking and candy making.
