Paul Krause, MD
Chief Medical Officer
After graduating from the University of Vermont School of Medicine, Dr. Krause completed his Family Practice Residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. He then came to the Lake Tahoe region in 2000 in order to work as a family doctor in a small town. Dr. Krause has been the Chair of Medicine and Chief of Staff at the local Critical Access Hospital. He is currently the Director of a Rural-based medical student teaching program at Tahoe Forest Hospital, where he trains future physicians from UC Davis School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor. He serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Caravan Health to extend his support of rural hospitals nationwide and to further his involvement in rural medical education.
